Life’s Patina Offers Local Coffee and Artistic Home Goods in Chester Springs

Both a café and marketplace, Life’s Patina features specialty baked items, coffee drinks, and home wares in a historic stone boardinghouse.

Life’s Patina in Chester Springs serves locally-inspired baked goods alongside an artistic market, reports Bob Kelly for Fox29 Philadelphia.

The shop doubles as a café and marketplace. The space itself is a restored boardinghouse in Historic Yellow Springs.

The café offers specialty bakery items in what was originally the farmhouse kitchen of the historic home. The stone interiors and double staircase make for a unique dining and shopping experience.

Menu items include danishes, cakes, homemade pop-tarts, and espresso drinks, all made with locally-sourced ingredients. The café partners with local farms and vendors to make the menu special to Chester Springs.

Savory menu items include quiche, avocado toast, seasonal salads.

Owner and founder Meg Veno shared, “We like to consider our food as art because we reside in an art village.”

Right down the hall from the café is the Life’s Patina mercantile, which features home goods, clothing, and home décor. Veno said, “We are all about experiences, and we wanted people who could eat here to also be able to run in and buy a gift.”

With both delicious bites and specialty home wares, the shop offers residents a unique destination experience housed in a special piece of local history.
