Forbes has named Horsham-based Bimbo Bakeries USA one of Pennsylvania’s top workplaces, writes Dino Ciliberti in the Patch.
The commercial baking giant landed at number 31 on the list of ‘America’s Best Employers by State’ rankings. Forbes surveyed more than 169,000 employees across the country.
Bimbo Bakeries is the American arm of Grupo Bimbo. They are the largest commercial baking company in the United States, and they are headquartered in Horsham. Their portfolio includes many familiar brands found in Montco homes, including Sara Lee, Thomas’ English Muffins, Entenmann’s, Ball Park Buns, and more.
Founded in 1945, the company has grown into a household name by producing fresh, high-quality baked goods that are staples in every breakfast and barbecue. Forbes’ rankings were based on employee evaluations of workplace culture, pay, growth opportunities, and responsiveness to issues like harassment and parity.
Topping the Pennsylvania list was the Milton Hershey School, with other major employers like Amazon, UPS, and Bank of America recognized across multiple states.
