A plan that has been in the works since 2021 to bring 23 luxury homes to Doylestown is moving closer to final approval, writes Lacey Latch for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Warminster-based County Builders presented their project to the planning commission earlier this week, seeking final plan approval. However, they left with several suggestions to address before bringing the project back for consideration later this year.
Residents would access the proposed neighborhood by turning from Ferry Road onto a long driveway leading to a loop of homes that function as a cul-de-sac.
Planned public amenities include a central gazebo or pavilion, along with benches and landscaping running down the center of the boulevard between the homes. Trees would surround the neighborhood and provide a buffer to Swamp Road.
The two-story homes will feature a basement, as well as a two-car garage and a two-car driveway. Homebuyers will get the choice of having electric vehicle charging stations included with their garage.
“We do expect it to be something that the township is proud of and something that we’re proud of,” said County Builders vice president Kevin Reilly.
