Plant Operations Technician
Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Plant Operations Technician to join our team!
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through responsive, accurate, and efficient maintenance.
This will be accomplished through the performance of simple tasks that require the application of general maintenance and repair techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.
The Maintenance Tech serves as a member of the Maintenance team that is responsible for the physical condition of all buildings on campus. This position will require a rotating weekend on-call phone.

Dishwasher
Freedom Village at Brandywine is seeking dishwasher/utility clerks to join the Freedom Village family.
This position starts at $13.25 an hour.
Freedom Village offers a scholarship program through its resident council; in 2022-2023 our residents raised over $60,000 that was distributed to rising college freshman and business professionals looking to further their education at Freedom Village at Brandywine.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a dishwasher/utility Clerk:
- Experience in working with seniors is preferred.
- Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization.
- Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards at all times.
- Perform kitchen activities, including setting up and breaking down the ware-washing system, dish washing, pot washing, general cleaning duties, storing food and non-food supplies, and prep production.
- Assist serving staff with setting of tables and work station areas as well as clearing tables.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, the ware-washing system, and areas in the kitchen.
- Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per Policy and Procedure.
- Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment.
- Supports creating a culture where business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy growth.
- Minimum completion of high school required
- Experience in food service work is preferred.

Dietary Aide
Freedom Village is seeking full-time and part-time servers/dietary aides to join its family. Freedom Village offers part-time evening hours for aides to assist during dinner meal in both independent living, skilled nursing, and personal care. There are also full-time server positions available that would work primarily on the day shift in the skilled nursing and personal care departments.
Pay starts at $13.25 an hour. Actual salary may fall outside of the posted salary range as it is dependent on skills and experience.
Full-time work would take place weekdays and every other weekend, 6:30 AM to 3 PM.

Responsibilities for this position include:
- Always exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
- Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always.
- Maintain dining room appearance and presentation standards at all times.
- Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Set tables and maintain workstations in an orderly manner. Take orders, provide service, and request items in a gracious and courteous manner. Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
- Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dish washing, and reset tables.
- Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
- Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per Policy and Procedure.
- Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment.
Qualifications for this position:
- 16 years of age.
- Experience in food service work is preferred.
- Experience in working with senior living / Healthcare preferred.
- Must be available on weekdays and weekends, 6:30 AM- 3:00 PM.
