
C&N’s Giving Back, Giving Together (GBGT) campaign raised $108,555.20 in 2024-2025 and contributed 165 volunteer hours and collected 1,698 essential items to support local individuals and families affected by cancer.
Over the course of the year, C&N teammates joined forces to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their neighbors facing cancer diagnoses. The funds and resources provided critical support to the following organizations (the C&N teams that supported them are in parentheses):
- Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute (Lancaster and York)
- Callie Cares (Wellsboro)
- Cancer Services Program (Hornell, N.Y.)
- Humble Bumble (Coudersport, Elkland, Knoxville, Liberty, Mansfield, Tioga, and Wellsboro)
- Kids Can’t Fight Cancer Alone (Athens, Dushore, East Smithfield, Laporte, Sayre, Towanda, Troy, and Wysox)
- Kin Wellness & Support (Doylestown)
- Main Street (Newtown)
- Pinktober & Christmas Benefit (Emporium)
- The Susquehanna Health Foundation and The Paternostro Cancer Foundation (Williamsport, Muncy, Jersey Shore, South Williamsport, and Old Lycoming)
From easing the financial burden of treatment to delivering comfort items and emotional support, the donations reached families at some of their most vulnerable moments. The campaign exemplified the power of collective action and C&N’s continued commitment to strengthening the communities it serves.
This year’s cause also marked a significant milestone: the 10th anniversary of Giving Back, Giving Together. Since its launch in 2015, GBGT has become a cornerstone of C&N’s community engagement efforts. With the completion of this year’s campaign, the program has raised a total of $852,278, donated 43,907 essential items, and contributed 1,814 volunteer hours over the past decade.
“Giving Back, Giving Together is a reflection of who we are as a community bank and a team committed to making a positive difference,” said C&N President and CEO Brad Scovill. “Over the past 10 years, our teammates have consistently shown up for their communities with generosity, compassion, and a sense of purpose. We are incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together to support the needs of local individuals and families.”
Last month, C&N launched its next GBGT campaign, focusing on supporting the local military community, including active-duty service members, veterans, and the organizations that serve them. Through fundraising, volunteering, and item drives, teammates will aim to recognize the sacrifices made by military personnel and ensure they receive the care and support they have earned.
