Jenkintown’s Bradley Cooper Gets Last Laugh Over Brad Pitt After Eagles Win

Jenkintown's Bradley Cooper got the last laugh after the Eagles beat Brad Pitt’s Chiefs in the Super Bowl, sparking a playful feud.

Jenkintown native Bradley Cooper had the last laugh after the Philadelphia Eagles took down the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, and his longtime friend Brad Pitt had to eat his words, writes Guillermo Guajardo for ClutchPoints.

The two stars’ friendly rivalry hit the spotlight when Pitt, a diehard Chiefs fan, teased Cooper at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in February 2024. While presenting Cooper with an award, Pitt quipped, “If he doesn’t win this one, it’s OK. He’s used to it—he’s a Philadelphia Eagles fan.”

Cooper’s off-camera reaction? “Man, that’s f—ed up.” But just weeks later, the Eagles gave Cooper bragging rights, dominating the Chiefs 40–22 in the Super Bowl.

Pitt recounted the moment on the “New Heights” podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce, admitting the two didn’t talk for two months after the game. “He gracefully let me hurt in my psyche,” Pitt said, before joking with Travis to be careful leading up to a potential redemption season, “Wear oven mitts until September.”

Despite the Super Bowl smack talk, Pitt praised Cooper and the Eagles—and acknowledged that while he bleeds Chiefs red, this year, green ruled the field.
