A viral X photo Monday that showed a Taylor Swift–Travis Kelce cookie cake for sale prompted a quick Havertown ACME cake switch, replacing it with an Eagles-themed cake focusing on Travis’ brother, Jason, who lives in Haverford, writes Henry Savage for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
“Obviously, we bleed green,” said an ACME spokesperson.
The original Swift-Kelce cake read “go Taylor’s boyfriend 87,” referring to Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce, who also happens to be Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.
The discovery did not sit well with local Philadelphia Eagles fans.
“They’re selling this at the Acme in Havertown. UNACCEPTABLE,” posted Bird fan Jeff McDevitt.
The situation was quickly resolved. Someone who seemed to be an ACME employee posted a video on X showing the Swift-Kelce cake being tossed into a trash can.
“I personally made sure this one got its proper demise as soon as it was brought to my attention,” said the person in the video.
By the next day, ACME’s social media account replied to McDevitt’s post with a photo of a new cake.
“Fixed it,” they wrote, showing an Eagles-themed cake that featured Midnight Green frosting, Birds helmets, and no sign of the Chiefs red.
