A thriving dining scene will welcome three exciting new Montgomery County restaurants this June, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Burtons Grill & Bar will officially open its doors in Wayne on June 18, taking over the former Chili’s location next to Minella’s Diner. This will mark the first branch of the New England-based bar-restaurant chain in the Philadelphia region. The eatery has long been a favorite among the gluten-free crowd.
Peter Chang, a 2016 semifinalist for the James Beard Award for Best Chef, Mid-Atlantic, is feeling out the territory with an eponymous BYOB in King of Prussia’s Henderson Square before launching a new restaurant in Colmar this fall. The King of Prussia location specializes in small plates.
Salt & Stone, a stylish Greek-American bar-restaurant, has quickly become downtown Conshohocken’s new favorite spot.
Veteran restaurateur Demetrios Pappa, known for Bryn Mawr’s Cafe Fresko, has teamed up once again with his longtime chef, Lassine Sylla, to bring back several of their popular dishes at the new location, including salmon and couscous, braised lamb shank, fried calamari, and grilled octopus.
Cocktail lovers will also find plenty to enjoy with the creative selection of smoked cocktails on offer.
