Colleen Wolfe may be thriving in Los Angeles with her NFL Network position and a new spot on Roku, but the Montco native is still a hometown girl at heart, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
In an interview with PBJ, the Hatboro-Horsham High School alum shares what she misses about home. “The water so I could make bread, or so any of the restaurants or delis could make bread,” Wolfe said. “Because all of the bread here in L.A. is terrible.”
While visiting home, she loads up on pizza and bagels, and brings Angelo’s Pizza back west with her.
Wolfe also recounted her chaotic first day working for NBC Sports Philadelphia in 2008. On her first day she had to pick up Mitch Williams, Darren Daulton, and Lenny Dykstra into her Nissan Pathfinder, and take them to Citizens Bank Park.
When visiting home, Wolfe grabs her coffee from K’Far Cafe in Center City, bikes Kelly Drive, or takes in the Franklin Institute. While she’s a national figure these days, Philly still runs deep in her blood.
