Rooster’s Glenside Blends Sports Bar, English Pub, and Cocktail Lounge Vibes

Rooster’s in Glenside, blends sports bar, English pub, and cocktail lounge vibes into one inviting spot for a great night out.

Rooster’s, the new Stove & Co. restaurant in Glenside, blends sports bar, English pub, and cocktail lounge vibes into one inviting spot for a great night out, writes Jason Sheehan for the Philadelphia Magazine.

The new eatery, located in the space that once housed the beloved Keswick Tavern, features a massive television that stretches nearly the entire length of the back wall – that makes it ideal for watching whichever game is on.

The kitchen offers everything from deviled eggs and baked clams to deep-fried cheese curds in a delicious batter as well as the cheesesteaks that are smeared with delicious long hot mayo.

Some of the early favorites include shrimp and andouille sausage served over smooth and creamy grits, topped with a hash of shredded and chile-fried Brussels sprouts that really pack a punch.

The atmosphere is fun, friendly, and loud, and the place is often crowded. It stands as a great example of a quintessential neighborhood bar: a clean and well-lighted place that fits comfortably into a community which lost an iconic eatery not so long ago.
