Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is seeking applications for the Full-Time Groundskeeper and Part-Time STEM Lab Assistant (Pottstown).

Full-Time Groundskeeper

The Full-Time Groundskeeper creates and maintains the appearance of the College grounds and the building’s exterior.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or one to two years of work-related experience required.
  • Valid PA driver’s license required.
  • Must work outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Proficient knowledge of and ability to operate tractors, mowers, dump trucks, and snow removal equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must acquire and maintain a PA Pesticide License Category 23 throughout employment.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow routine instructions.
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented setting.
  • Must have a good sense of balance; required to work at various heights.
  • Moderate physical strength is required.
  • Common outdoor allergies should not inhibit job performance.

Part-Time STEM Lab Assistant (Pottstown)

This position provides lab support for STEM lab courses at our Pottstown Campus. This position is based in Pottstown but may require travel to Blue Bell.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required, with 2 years’ work-related experience required, or an associate’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of specific software or processes.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to comply with safety standards and procedures.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to use some discretion and judgment.
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented setting.
