Once considered a luxury reserved for top-tier brands, smart kitchen technology has gone mainstream. “When smart features first came out, they were a luxury,” says Jace Kieffer, vice president of the family-run appliance company. “Now, they are even available on your entry-level items from brands like GE, Samsung, and LG, and as the years go by, the technology gets better.”
The surge in smart kitchens reflects a shift in how people live—and cook. Today’s appliances offer WiFi connectivity, voice commands, and app control. Ovens can be preheated from your phone, fridges can track your groceries, and dishwashers can auto-dispense soap and alert you when it’s time to refill. The market for smart kitchen appliances is booming, expected to soar from $11 billion in 2024 to $50 billion by 2033.
