Conshohocken-based IKEA launches heartfelt campaign celebrating baby’s first steps with the help of everyday furniture favorites.

With its U.S. headquarters right here in Conshohocken, IKEA is sharing the joy of baby’s first steps in a touching new campaign that highlights the role its furniture plays in those wobbly, unforgettable milestones.

The campaign, titled Supporting First Steps, leans into the viral TikTok trend of “baby cruising”—where little ones pull themselves up on furniture to take their first steps. IKEA’s message is simple but powerful: they’re there, quietly supporting families through everyday moments that matter.

Developed by Al-Futtaim IKEA in collaboration with global creative teams and photographer Ale Burset, the campaign blends professionally shot visuals with authentic, user-submitted clips. It’s a nod to the fact that over 75% of parents today share these milestones online. Featured in the campaign are familiar IKEA staples like the LACK side table, BEKVÄM step stool, and colorful MAMMUT children’s furniture—often the first support systems toddlers reach for.

“We wanted to celebrate the joy of a baby’s first steps and show how IKEA is present in the everyday moments that matter most,” said Carla Klumpenaar, GM of Marketing at IKEA.

While the campaign is launching in the Middle East, its spirit resonates globally—including right here in Montgomery County, where the brand’s U.S. presence is firmly rooted.
