Join the Better Giving for Greater Impact Summit – Where Local Generosity Sparks Real Change

Don't miss FirstBank Charitable Foundation's second annual Better Giving for Greater Impact (BG4GI) Summit on May 7.

On Tuesday, May 7, the FirstBank Charitable Foundation will host its second annual Better Giving for Greater Impact (BG4GI) Summit — a powerful gathering designed to inspire smarter, more strategic philanthropy.

Held at the Chester County History Center (225 N. High St., West Chester), the free, full-day event runs from 9:00 AM-4:30 PM, with doors opening at 8:00 AM for a networking breakfast.

This summit isn’t just for nonprofits but for anyone who wants to make a meaningful difference: donors, funders, community leaders, and business partners. BG4GI is your chance to connect, collaborate, and learn practical strategies to stretch every giving dollar and deepen your community impact.

At the BG4GI Summit, you can expect:

  • Expert panels and presentations: Learn from leaders in philanthropy, corporate giving, and nonprofit management on topics like strategic planning, tax credit programs, donor-advised funds, and corporate social responsibility.
  • Lunch and learn networking: Enjoy lunch while connecting with peers by focus area — meet others working in your space and explore shared goals and challenges.
  • Nonprofit expo (all day): Discover the powerful work being done by local organizations at the BG4GI Expo. Visit tables, scan QR codes to enter raffles, and be inspired by the collective impact being made across the region.
  • Interactive opportunities: Whether you’re new to giving or a seasoned nonprofit professional, BG4GI will equip you with actionable tools, insights, and connections to enhance your impact.

“By focusing on giving close to home, we’re building stronger, more resilient communities,” stated the FirstBank Charitable Foundation. “This summit is about making philanthropy accessible, practical, and transformative.”

Registration is free but required to attend the Summit and all its sessions. Be sure to secure your spot by registering online. If you have any questions, please contact Karen Walter at [email protected] or 484-374-5012.

Please note: No registration is needed for the Expo, which will be open to the public and running throughout the day in various areas of the History Center.
