Shark Tank, the ABC hit reality show, has announced that it will be coming to Philadelphia for a casting call in April, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The hit show will be hosting a Season 17 opening casting event at Rivers Casino in Fishtown on Friday, April 11.
The event is scheduled to begin at 9 AM; however, contestants can start lining up to pitch their ideas at 8 AM.
Participants who show up will be given 60 seconds to pitch to a casting team member.
Those interested in applications for the casting call can visit ABC’s website. Meanwhile, participants are expected to hear back regarding their pitch sometime during the summer.
“We’re eager to return to Philly after so many years to see how the entrepreneur community has grown,” said Mindy Zemrak, supervising casting producer for Shark Tank, in a statement.
Philadelphia-area entrepreneurs has been able to experience solid success over the years, thanks to the show.
Some Philadelphia companies that have appeared on the show over the years include ChompShop, Black Paper Party, KIN Apparel, Fila Manila, and several others.
