Hatboro Pizza Celebrates 25 Years of Serving Up Tradition and Community

Hatboro Pizza celebrates 25 years of serving quality food, supporting the community, and building lasting traditions.

Hatboro Pizza has been a local favorite for 25 years, but its roots go even deeper, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.

Owners John and Monica Katelas have been in the pizza business since the 1970s, starting in Philadelphia before making their way to Hatboro, where they’ve built a true community staple.

Since opening on North York Road in 2000, the third-generation family-owned pizzeria has become a go-to spot for locals. Their dedication to quality ingredients, generous portions, and friendly service has earned them a loyal following—not to mention a special honor from Mayor Tim Schultz and the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce. Schultz presented them with a plaque celebrating 25 years, which is now proudly displayed in the shop.

Beyond serving up delicious pizza, the Katelas family has been a longtime supporter of Hatboro Little League, giving back for over 20 years. Their commitment extends to their employees, too—many of their 16 staff members have been with them for more than 15 years.
