Anthony Stabile’s dream of owning a pizzeria became a reality just in time for Super Bowl LIX, thanks to the support of a loan from Ambler Savings Bank.
Stabile and his wife Nina purchased an existing pizza shop in North Wales, renovating and renaming it to Anthony’s Pizzeria to make it their own.
A Positive Partnership
“Without Ambler Savings Bank, this dream wouldn’t have been possible,” said Anthony. “Getting a business loan can be a long, stressful process, but they made it smooth by guiding us every step of the way”.
Patrick Rice, a Commercial Loan Officer at Ambler Savings Bank, started working with the Stabiles to apply for a Small Business Administration (SBA) loan in 2024. The SBA offers lending options that are competitive, have lower down payments, and may not require collateral for some loans. Working with a small community bank, customers are able to meet one-on-one with bankers to guide them through the process and design the right product to fit their individual needs.
“It takes collaboration of the buyer and lender to talk through the goals for the project,” said Rice. “Anthony needed additional capital to close for renovations, which was something I helped incorporate into the loan.”
“The amount of paperwork that comes with opening a business can be overwhelming, but Patrick made the process seamless,” said Anthony. “We couldn’t have done this with him.”
Rice guided the Stabiles through the process to ensure the loan accomplished their goals of buying and renovating the business.
The loan successfully closed in November 2024. After receiving their loan, the Stabiles were able to purchase the business and complete renovations to personalize and modernize the space.
“If you have a dream and need financing to make it happen, Ambler Savings Bank is the place to go,” said Nina.
During January, the pizzeria closed for renovations and reopened with a new name, just in time to serve Eagles fans for Super Bowl weekend.
A Dream Come True
Anthony was inspired by his father and the legacy he left behind in the food industry.
“Pizza runs through my blood,” said Anthony, who made his first pizza at 10 years old.
His father was from Sicily and opened three pizza shops in Brooklyn, the first one when he was only 17 years old.
Now, Anthony, Nina, and their three children are growing their team and becoming a true family pizzeria.
“The biggest joy for me is making my family proud,” said Anthony. “Every new customer feels like extended family, and there’s nothing better than watching someone take their first bite and seeing their face light up.”
A Welcoming Community
Anthony’s Pizzeria is in a prime location at Sumneytown Pike and Dickerson Drive.
“From day one, we were welcomed with open arms, and the support has been incredible,” said Anthony.
One of his favorite parts of the business is meeting new people every day.
“It’s more than just serving pizza,” he said. “It’s about building relationships.”
Anthony’s Pizzeria is open Monday through Saturday.
