Two West Chester University alums planned a glamorous speakeasy-inspired wedding in November 2023, writes Emily Goulet for Philadelphia Magazine.
Rebecca Feinstein and Jeffrey Miller first met on a dating app. As they learned more about each other, they were surprised to realize they grew up just a few miles apart and attended West Chester University at the same time.
After a fun dinner and drinks date, the couple was head over heels. During a trip to California’s Napa Valley in 2022, Jeff proposed to Rebecca. They pulled off a stunning wedding at the Fitler Club, marrying in front of 230 guests.
Their unique “glamorous speakeasy” theme lent itself well to the venue’s industrial design.
“Every detail was crafted to fit our aesthetic — the tablescapes, the abundance of flowers and floating candles, the lit-up glittering dance floor,” said Rebecca.
The large ballroom was filled with tables with velvety champagne linens, stunning floral arrangements, vibrant colored lighting effects, and beautiful fabric draped from the ceilings.
The food was to die for, with fresh seafood sampled during cocktail hour. It wasn’t just a regular table, but one with ice sculptures and flowers to serve the food.
During the reception, the band Sugar Lane got the guests up and out on the dance floor, moving with electric energy.
