Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach has successfully recruited the nine-agent team, Philly + The Burbs, from Compass Real Estate, reports Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
This Dresher-based team is led by principal agents Ashlee Check, Adam Brown, Joshua Hersz, and Karen Langsfeld. They achieved approximately $60 million in sales and an additional $5 million in rental volume in 2024. Their impressive performance placed them among the top 25 large teams in Pennsylvania in 2023, according to Real Trends. The team will now operate from Fox & Roach’s Blue Bell office, with their Shore division integrating into the Margate office.
For Check and Langsfeld, this move marks a return to familiar grounds, as both were previously affiliated with Berkshire Hathaway before joining forces with Hersz and Brown at Compass in January 2022. Check cited existing relationships and the deep-rooted presence of Fox & Roach as key factors in their decision to return. CEO Larry Flick V praised the team’s “unparalleled expertise” and “local knowledge,” emphasizing their reputation for delivering seamless real estate experiences.
Beyond this acquisition, the team anticipates enhancing their presence at the Jersey Shore, recognizing the natural client interest in beach properties. Brown highlighted the advantage of having an established base in the Margate office to better serve this demand.
