Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is seeking applications for the following positions: Faculty Diversity Fellowship Program – English and Part-Time Non-Credit Facilitator for Manufacturing and Maintenance (Temporary, Grant Funded). 

Faculty Diversity Fellowship Program – English

The Faculty Diversity Fellowship Program – English in support of the College’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, promotes and advances the careers of exceptional scholars from underrepresented groups. The one-year program provides each fellow with opportunities for teaching, student engagement, peer mentoring, and professional development as educators and scholars. The role is ideal for scholars at the beginning of their careers, or interested in refining their teaching skills, or, seasoned industry professionals who are considering college or university teaching careers.

This position requires the PA Child AbusePA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances to be submitted to human resources prior to the first day of employment. 

This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and off-site locations.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in English Composition and Rhetoric (or a closely related field) or Literature (or a closely related field) or an MFA in Creative Writing from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working in a related field.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring first-year college students.

Part-Time Non-Credit Facilitator for Manufacturing and Maintenance (Temporary, Grant Funded)

The Part-Time Non-Credit Facilitator for Manufacturing and Maintenance will support the development and expansion of MCCC’s non-credit course offerings in CNC machining, maintenance, and related manufacturing areas. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping a curriculum that meets industry needs and potentially leads to an apprenticeship program. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of manufacturing and maintenance education, providing pathways for students to secure rewarding careers in these high-demand fields.

This is a flexible schedule of up to 25 hours per week based on the needs of the position. The role has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between both campuses. This position is contingent upon grant funding with an expected end date of Dec. 31.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • Associate degree in a related field or comparable work experience.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and providing opportunities for economic development and job creation in high-priority occupation areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, CNC machining, maintenance, or a related industry.
  • Basic understanding of curriculum development and instructional design, particularly in noncredit or vocational education settings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with industry partners, instructors, and students.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience in grant report writing, budgeting, or grant management is desirable.
