
CCRES has recognized one of its staff members for her passion, dedication and achievements in her position as a registered behavior technician.
A CCRES staffing coordinator described the RBT, identified as Becky S., as someone who has “stepped in flawlessly with supporting her student, implementing consistency and expectations with him,”
The student’s maladaptive behaviors have decreased since Becky started working with him, the coordinator said.
Becky has been an RBT since May of 2021.
She appreciates that her role allows her to make a meaningful, positive impact in the lives of individuals and their families.
“Every day, I witness the power of small, consistent changes and the tremendous growth that can result from thoughtful, individualize interventions,” she said. “What I love most about this role is the opportunity to empower others- helping them develop skills, build confidence, and overcome challenges in ways that improve their overall quality of life.”
It’s been “incredibly rewarding” to see the progress that can be made, whether it’s communication, social interactions, or daily living skills.
“The relationship I built with my client inspires me every day to continue learning and growing in this field,” Becky said.
She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in ABA with a goal to become a I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in ABA with a goal to become a board-certified behavior analyst.
“I know that I am contributing to something that truly matters every day when I go to work. I love what I do because it’s not just a job–it’s a way to make a lasting difference in the world.”
CCRES was created in 1999 through a partnership with the Chester County Intermediate Unit to meet the growing need for behavioral health services for children in Chester County, and as a vehicle to give back to the community.
CCRES provides professional resources, coaching and counseling for children, families and adults with a range of challenges including autism, behavioral health issues, mental illness as well as intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities.
