PA SITES Program Aims to Bring Business to Towns Like Horsham

The PA Sites Program secured $500 million to invest in site development and further economic growth by attracting new business.

Pennsylvania is investing $500 million into the PA SITES program to attract business, reports Kyle Peschler for Business Facilities.

The initiative includes $400 million for the Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites (PA SITES) Program.

“Last year, our PA SITES pilot program made $10 million in grants available for developers and companies,” Governor Josh Shapiro said. “and we secured $500 million for site development in this year’s budget to build on that progress to turn more dirt into jobs, help Pennsylvania compete for more transformational economic development projects, and invest that money back into our communities.”

Beyond site development, the bipartisan budget allocates $20 million to support small businesses. This includes minority-owned enterprises and $15 million for tourism.

Horsham Township exemplifies Pennsylvania’s business-friendly ethos. Since adopting a master plan in 2016, the township has invested $35 million in infrastructure. This has spurred over $250 million in private investments. With no business privilege tax and competitive rental rates, Horsham offers an ideal environment for companies.

The township also boasts 900 acres of parks and 14 miles of trails. Future plans include redeveloping the Naval base into a town center, cementing Horsham’s reputation as a thriving community for businesses and families.
