Montgomery County claims the top spot among the best counties to live in Pennsylvania in 2024, according to a new report by Stacker.

Montgomery County has claimed the top spot among the best counties to live in Pennsylvania in 2024, according to a new report by Stacker.

To determine the best counties to live in the state, Stacker used rankings from Niche. Determining factors include public schools, educational attainment, cost of living, and housing.

Montgomery County placed first in Pennsylvania and at No. 32 in the country. It has a median household income of $107,441 and a median home value of $382,300. Seventy-two percent of residents own their own homes. The median rent is $1,514.

The top public schools in the county, all of which received an A+ grade, are Harriton Senior High School, Lower Merion High School, and The Souderton Charter School Collaborative.

The top private schools that were also recognized with A+ grades, include The Baldwin School, The Shipley School, and The Hill School.

Montgomery County boasts many charming towns, including top-graded Ardmore, Penn Wynne, and Conshohocken.
