Before Monday night’s Philadelphia Eagles‘ loss, Jason Kelce was sporting a new sweatshirt from his charity clothing line Underdog Apparel that drew lots of love from fans, writes Beatrice Forman for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The sweatshirt has the words “Now or never we fly together” with a Grim Reaper protecting an Eagles helmet and was meant to pay tribute to the resilience and loyalty of fans.

It was designed by local artist Eric Kenney who designs sports tees and sweatshirts under the name Heavy Slime.

Kenney said Underdog Apparel based in Narberth asked him to create something that evoked both the apprehension and hope that Eagles fans were feeling going into the playoffs.

“We reached out to Eric to work on the shirt because his art is like a dark comedy. The idea to work with him on a graphic came when we saw the ‘faithful’ streaming out of the last home game of the season when they lost to the Cardinals,” said an Underdog Apparel spokesperson.

“We wanted everyone to know we still believed, but we weren’t kidding ourselves either.”

Any proceeds from the sale of the sweatshirt go to Kelce’s (Be)Philly Foundation to support Coded by Kids and Heights Philadelphia.
