Wellness Week Kicks Off in King of Prussia with Free Classes and Workouts

Wellness Week begins in King of Prussia with a blood drive and free workouts and classes. The event invites residents and workers to unwind.

King of Prussia is hosting its annual Wellness Week, reports Donna Rovins for the Reporter. The event runs from September 23 through September 29.

The event showcases a variety of health-focused events, workouts, and deals. Sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield, this week-long event highlights local health and wellness providers. It aims to encourage residents and workers in the area to maintain their 2024 health goals.

King of Prussia District marketing and communications director Rachel Ammon explained that the event brings together the area’s numerous health institutions, restaurants, fitness centers, and retailers focused on wellness. “It became a question of ‘why not do something that unites this group together’,” she said.

The week kicks off with a Red Cross Blood Drive on September 23. Participants can sign up for this event and explore a variety of free workouts, open gym access, and deals from over 370 local businesses. A health and wellness directory on the Wellness Week website lists more than 100 participating businesses.

In addition to Wellness Week, the district will host Wellness Wednesdays, a series of outdoor workout classes starting on September 25 and continuing through mid-October from 4:30 PM to 6 PM. These sessions will include yoga, meditation, and sound baths with Crystal Singing bowls. Ammon emphasized the shift toward more Zen-like activities, offering the community a chance to unwind.

All these events are free to the public.
