The Annual Pottstown Latin Fest returns, reports Reading Eagle. The event will take place on Saturday, September 14 on the PECO Pavilion at Riverfront Park.
The event returns for its 9th year to as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. The event, held by Centro Cultural Latinos Unidos will go from noon until 5 PM. Rain date for Latin Fest is September 21.
The festival celebrates both Latino and American cultures and offers food from several Latin American countries.
Entertainment includes a latino fashion show, Mariachis, mechanical bull riding, pinatas, a bounce house and plenty of children’s entertainment. Local artists will mark the occasion by participating in art presentations.
Attendees can also join in free kayak and bike rides provided by Take it Outdoors and the Schuylkill River Greenways.
The CCLU aims to provide Pottstown’s Latino community with legal and educational services. The Pottstown Latin Fest is part of their mission to bridge the divide between the local Latin and American communities.Read more about the Pottstown Latin Fest at Reading Eagle.
