This fall, Montgomery County will host multiple Oktoberfest celebrations with beer and German-inspired beer and family-friendly activities.

With fall around the corner, many prepare to celebrate in the german tradition of Oktoberfest. Laura Swartz compiled a list of the best places to celebrate for Philadelphia Magazine. Check out these places from Montgomery County that made the list.

Fall for Ardmore Festival

September 28, 2 PM – 6 PM

Schauffele Plaza hosts this festival just outside of Tired Hands Brewery in Ardmore. The event will have live music, fun for all ages, german-inspired food, and, of course beer. There are multiple ticket options. Local beers include Tired Hands, Levante Brewing, and Dock Street Brewery.

GOAToberfest

October 6, 3 PM – 5 PM

This event is a fundraiser held by the Philly Goat Project at West Laurel Hill in Bala Cynwyd. Attendees can sip a variety of beer while playing with goats. Organizers say that 13 goats will be present. The event is in partnership with Triple Bottom Brewing. 50 percent of the profits go to the PGP. There will be Philly goat merch and a silent auction to bid on art created by the goats. Drag queen Dominique Lee will also host a costume contest.

Check out these Oktoberfest celebrations and more at Philadelphia Magazine.
