More Philadelphia Area Celebrations for Oktoberfest Are Coming
The Philadelphia area will be continuing to celebrate the German beer fest through October so there are still plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy some German food, drink, and music, writes Laura Swartz and Kae Lani Palmisano for Philadelphia Magazine.
Mark your calendars with these upcoming Oktoberfest events:
Oktoberfest at Frankford Hall
Located in Fishtown, Frankford Hall is hosting its Oktoberfest celebration on September 23, from noon to 2 a.m. There will be plenty of food and drink specials, live entertainment, and kid activities.
Fishtown Feastivale
Also being held in Fishtown on the same day but on Frankford Avenue from Girard to Columbia Avenue, Fishtown Festivale will include carnival games, a dunk tank, DJ sets and art and retail vendors. The festivities start at noon on September 23 and will run until 8 p.m.
Fall for Admore Festival
Fall for Ardmore Festival is scheduled for September 30th, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Schauffele Plaza in Ardmore. Enjoy the brews of Tired Hands Brewing Company and Iron Hill Brewery and munch on Oktoberfest-inspired treats like bratwurst, pierogies and Bavarian pretzels.
Oktoberfest at Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company
Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company in Croydon will host its own Oktoberfest-like event on September 30th between noon and 7 p.m. Theirs will be more like a mini German-themed Olympics with a series of competitions including a wiener toss, a stein-hoisting competition, and a yodeling contest.
