The Cage in Norristown is offering patrons the full package, including a fusion-inspired menu, a craft cocktail list, top-tier service, and whimsical ambiance, writes Ed Williams for the Main Line Today.

Widener University graduate Niko Karolidis manages the restaurant, continuing his family’s legacy of over 30 years in the restaurant industry with a network of 20 eateries across New Jersey and Maryland.

“Most of them focus on a takeout model,” he said. “I wanted to introduce something that offers more of a dine-in adventure.”

An international design firm has reimagined the space once occupied by Bertucci’s, turning it into a captivating oasis reminiscent of a jungle. Visitors are welcomed by a striking mural filled with lively anime-style illustrations and floral imagery. Overhead, bird cages dangle, adding to the charm above cozy booths and tables.

The menu gears mostly Mediterranean-themed, with a fusion of different cultures — including Korean tacos, classic veal Parmigiana, and the delicious Feta from Fira.

The cocktail menu draws inspiration from soccer, featuring drinks adorned with custom toppings and sparkling garnishes.

“We make all the syrups, mixes, and fusions in house and pair the drinks with dishes from our kitchen,” said Karolidis.
