Mahe Bayireddi is the CEO of Phenom, and is looking for exponential growth for the tech company.

While Phenom has already established itself as one of Greater Philadelphia’s more notable startup success stories, its CEO Mahe Bayireddi is eyeing building the company into a tech giant, writes Ryan Mulligan for PHL Inno.

Based in Ambler, the human resources tech firm founded in 2010 has grown 25 percent to 30 percent annually to now around 1,500 employees.

Bayireddi sees an opportunity to increase the company’s impact by continuing to leverage artificial intelligence, a form of technology that Phenom has already been using for the better part of a decade.

“We help a billion people find the right work; that’s what our purpose is,” Bayireddi said. “How can we stay true to that and build a humongous company, nothing short [of that]?”

Phenom’s HR platform uses AI, data and machine learning to streamline the hiring process from recruiters to candidates.

Bayireddi’s goal is for Phenom to take “leaps and bounds” in the AI space and build on its existing expertise in the area to drive exponential growth.

The company released its Phenom X+ platform over a year ago. It’s generative AI made specifically for the HR industry and provides personalized job application experiences for candidates and existing employees.

Bayireddi hopes to see the platform ubiquitous in the HR industry.
