Hilton Garden Inn Philadelphia/Fort Washington has been acquired by Baywood Hotels, causing it to reopen after two years.

After acquiring it for $11.05 million last year, Baywood Hotels, a Maryland hospitality company, has reopened the long-shuttered Hilton Garden Inn Philadelphia/Fort Washington, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 146-room hotel has been closed for at least two years, following a hurricane that severely damaged the property. Baywood Hotels finally reopened it last month.

The company’s regional manager of operations Teri Tarshus said in a social media post that Baywood was excited to showcase the renovations it has made on the property with the community and “turn the page” for the hotel’s “next chapter.”

The Hilton Garden Inn features an indoor pool, a fitness center, and meeting rooms. There is also an on-site restaurant, the Garden Grille & Bar, which serves all of the three main meals.

The six-story hotel is located in Fort Washington, just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It is a short walk away from Fort Washington Station on the Lansdale/Doylestown Regional Rail Line.

The hotel is under the flag of Hilton Worldwide Holdings. It is one of eight hotels in the region that all operate under the same brand.
