Pennsburg's Globe Inn. Pennsburg in Montgomery County is among the top ten small towns in Pennsylvania that offer a perfect getaway from the lively scene in Philadelphia.

Pennsylvania has much more to offer than its vast metropolitan areas, including a number of small towns that offer a perfect and relaxing getaway from the lively scene in Philadelphia, writes Alicia Remmy for The Travel.

Among the top ten such towns, Pennsburg in Montgomery County came in third place.

Pennsburg is one of the unique small towns in the Keystone State that captivates tourists with the warmth of its tight-knit community, beautiful historic buildings, and surrounding stunning beauty.

While the town might be small with a population of just 4,068, it fascinates visitors with several hidden gems, such as the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center.

The museum and archive offers a look into the culture and history of the Schwenkfelders, a group that settled in Pennsylvania in the early 1700s. The ever-changing exhibits are a true treasure of history.

Meanwhile, outdoor enthusiasts also have plenty to enjoy in Pennsburg, including Green Lane Nature Center which offers excursions like boating, biking, and strolling.
