Philadelphia-based Rite Aid is currently negotiating with its creditors over the terms of a bankruptcy plan that would include shutting down hundreds of stores.

As Rite Aid works its way through Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the retail pharmacy chain announced that it was selling more store leases and fee-owned properties, including one in Montgomery County, writes Paul Schwedelson for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Fourteen Philadelphia-area leases and fee-owned properties are now on the block.

One of the stores is the Rite Aid at 6101 N. Broad St. in Philadelphia. The store is 14,735 square feet and has an attached two-lane drive-thru.

The other Philadelphia-area stores include 5 in Philadelphia, two in the suburbs including one on Main St. in Pennsburg, and six in the New Jersey suburbs.

Rite Aid first announced bankruptcy on October 15 and now there are a total of 92 store leases and 21 fee-owned stores for sale.

Fee-owned stores up for sale include the land currently owned by Rite Aid. A&G Real Estate Partners is acting as an advisor on the sales.

All the leases have more than 10 years left on the contracts.
