The New England Patriots’ new docuseries, “The Dynasty,” omits a critical piece of a commentary play call during their Super Bowl LII loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, writes Matt Ehalt for the New York Post. 

In the game, former Eagles quarterback Nick Foles catches a pass in the end zone from Trey Burton to give the Eagles a 10-point lead heading into halftime.

In the original call, commentator Al Michaels said, “And they’re gonna snap it, and it’s Trey Burton who throws, caught, Foles, touchdown.”

However, in the new docuseries, Foles’ name is omitted, as you instead hear, “And they’re gonna snap it, and it’s Trey Burton who throws, caught, touchdown.”

Foles would then go on to lead the Eagles to a 41-33 win en route to being named Super Bowl MVP.

His omission in the commentary call has some wondering if Tom Brady had something to do with it, as he did not shake Foles’ hand after the loss.

Brady, however, has maintained that there is no ill will between him and Foles.

Nonetheless, the question of why his name was omitted from one of the most important calls in Eagles history will still raise eyebrows.
