5 Montgomery Countians on the Latest List of the World’s Richest People

Five of the nine Pennsylvania billionaires who found their place on Forbes’s list of the richest people in the world have ties to Montgomery County, writes Ashley Adams for The Keystone.

Haverford resident Jeff Yass, the Republican mega-donor, ranked highest on the list at No. 47. He is a co-founder of Bala Cynwyd-based Susquehanna International Group. His current net worth of $26.5 billion is down from $30 billion in 2022.

Bryn Mawr’s Michael Rubin is next at No. 150. The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School graduate is the founder and CEO of Fanatics, an online sports merchandising retailer. His net worth is $11.4 billion, rising from $10.2 billion in 2022.

Arthur Dantchik follows at No. 307. He lives in Gladwyne and is a co-founder of Susquehanna International Group. His net worth is $7.2 billion, a slight decrease from $7.5 billion in 2022.

Wynnewood resident and Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie ranked at No. 627. His net worth is $4.4 billion, the same as 2022.

Finally, John Middleton, a Bryn Mawr resident and graduate of The Haverford School, is at No. 869. He made his fortune by selling his family’s tobacco business in 2007. His net worth is $3.4 billion, also the same as 2022.
