Newsweek Ranks Two Montgomery County Hospitals as Among Best Hospitals in U.S.

In the United States category of the World's Best Hospitals, Main Line Health’s Lankenau Medical Center earned the No. 146 spot.

Two hospitals right here in Montgomery County are being recognized for providing quality healthcare by Newsweek.

Main Line Health’s Lankenau Medical Center and Bryn Mawr Hospital are ranked in the top 250 of the best hospitals in the United States.

The magazine recently released its 2024 ranking of the World’s Best Hospitals, including a category for the best hospitals in each country they analyzed.

In the United States category, Main Line Health’s Lankenau Medical Center earned the No. 146 spot with a score of 65.65% and Bryn Mawr Hospital took the No. 186 spot with a score of 65%.

The rankings are determined by data from Statista. This year 2,400 hospitals across 30 countries were included. Each hospital’s score is based on both surveys from medical experts and public data from post-hospitalization patient surveys.

Other local hospitals that made the 250 best hospitals in the U.S. include the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania – Penn Presbyterian which ranked 13th with a score of 84.72% score and Jefferson Health – Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals which ranked 46th with a score of 70.71%.

Pennsylvania and Doylestown hospitals also made the top 250 of U.S. hospitals.

Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania – Penn Presbyterian also ranked No. 51 on the World’s Best Hospitals list.
