Considering her long family history with Bryn Mawr hospital, it was important to Cinda Johnson to give back.

Cinda Johnson, the executive director of Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation, knows personally the importance of the lifesaving work the hospital does, writes Nick Iadonisi for 6ABC.

She was born there and spent two weeks in Bryn Mawr’s neonatal ICU with spinal meningitis.

“I can remember the doctors telling us…she might lose her sight, she might lose her hearing, and she might not make it,” said Johnson’s mom Cindy Corkhill Dautrich.

Through the dedication of the staff there, which included at the time her grandfather who was the director of the hospital’s OB GYN department, Johnson completely recovered.

Wanting to give back to the hospital that was such an integral part of her family history, Johnson first joined the Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation in March 2018 as the director of major gifts. She became executive director in March 2023.

“With my daughter joining the staff…she has completed the circle and makes me proud every day,” said Dautrich.
