The Schuylkill River Passenger Rail Authority reelected Chester County Commissioner Marian Moskowitz as vice chairman as part of the authority’s updates to its leadership team for 2024, writes Karen Shuey for the Reading Eagle via The Mercury.

Phoenixville Mayor Peter Urscheler will serve as the treasurer, and the director of the Montgomery County Planning Commission Scott France is continuing his role as secretary.

The authority also welcomes three new faces to the board: Thomas DiBello, Montgomery County commissioner; Stephanie Henrick, Pottstown mayor; and David Hunter, director of the Berks County Planning Commission.

The Schuylkill River Passenger Rail Authority was formed by the Berks, Chester, and Montgomery counties to restore passenger rail service between Reading and Philadelphia.

At the end of last year, the authority was accepted into the federal Corridor Identification and Development Program and used money it was awarded through the program to hire AECOM to create the service plan.
