Mirbeau Hospitality Services, a New York hospitality company, is considering buying the remaining Greystone Hall property in West Chester and turning it into a luxury boutique resort and spa, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

According to Mirbeau partner Jonathan Dal Pos, the company already has a purchase agreement with Greystone Hall’s longtime owners, the Jerrehian family. The 44-acre property features the historic Greystone Hall mansion, a garage, and a carriage house. The parcel is the final part of the original 441-acre Greystone property.

Mirbeau is considering buying the 117-year-old Greystone Hall as part of its efforts to expand its business out of the Northeast and down the East Coast.

Dal Pos said that it was “immediately obvious” the mansion should be home to the company’s next resorts from the first time they saw it.

“It screamed Mirbeau, and it’s just such a remarkable property that it wasn’t something we felt we could pass up,” said Dal Pos.

Mirbeau wants to create 80 guest rooms at Greystone Hall across several new and existing buildings, including a future three-story central spa building.
