A new marketing initiative between from Elmwood Park Zoo and the Valley Forge Tourism Board will place jaguar sculptures throughout Montco.

The Elmwood Park Zoo and the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board have joined forces for a new marketing initiative that will include placing painted sculptures of a jaguar throughout Montgomery County, writes Justin Heinze for Patch.

They will be partnering with local businesses who want to advertise with a growl.

“These one-of-a-kind designed jaguars are a perfect opportunity to advertise your business and show off what makes Montco unique,” wrote the Zoo in a social media post. “By sponsoring a sculpture, you will design its look and pick a location, then the zoo — in partnership with Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board — will hire a local artist to paint your design right on your jaguar.”

The campaign is called the “Centennial Prowl,” and is a part of Elmwood Park Zoo’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

The initiative provides businesses with an opportunity to support the local economy as well as the zoo’s wildlife and conservation mission while also being able to advertise themselves in a unique way.
