Forbes: Several of the Richest Pennsylvanians Have Ties to Montgomery County

Forbes’ 2023 ranking of the 400 wealthiest people in the U.S. includes ten Pennsylvania billionaires, many of whom have ties to Montgomery County, writes Ashley Adams for The Keystone.

Everyone ranked is worth at least $2.9 million. Elon Musk made the top of the list with a net worth of $251 billion.

Here are the richest people in Pennsylvania with ties to Montgomery County.

Jeff Yass

Ranked 28th, Jeff Yass is a cofounder of Susquehanna International Group, a successful trading firm in Bala Cynwyd. The firm has invested in private companies worldwide, including ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company.

Michael Rubin

Ranked, 61st, Michael Rubin, the founder and CEO of Fanatics, lives in Bryn Mawr. He is also a former owner of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Arthur Dantchik

Ranked 137th, Arthur Dantchik, another co-founder of Susquehanna International Group, lives in Gladwyne.

Jeffrey Lurie

Ranked 249th, the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles Jeffrey Lurie lives in Wynnewood. The Eagles team is worth $4.9 billion and Lurie’s net worth is $4.6 billion.

John Middleton

Ranked 304th, John Middleton made his fortune selling his family’s tobacco business to Altria in 2007. He lives in Bryn Mawr and is an investor in the Philadelphia Phillies.
