Former Sixers owner and Bryn Mawr billionaire Michael Rubin will be a guest shark on the 15th season of ABC’s “Shark Tank,” writes Nicole Michalik for 92.5 XTU.

Rubin is the CEO of Fanatics, a leading provider of licensed sports merchandise and executive chairman of Rue Gilt Groupe, an e-commerce portfolio company, which includes RueLaLa.com, Gilt.com, and ShopPremiumOutlets.com.

Rubin with a group of celebrities and businessmen including rappers Meek Mills, Jay-Z and Lil Baby, purchased Mitchell & Ness, a Philadelphia-based sports apparel company back in February.

And in May, Fanatics announced a new deal to purchase the U.S. division of Australia’s PointsBet.

The premise of the show is for entrepreneurs to pitch products and services to get financial backing. Both sharks and guest sharks can buy shares in the company. Sharks include Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary, Mark Cuban, and Barbara Corcoran.

The new season will premiere on Friday, September 29 on ABC. You can also stream episodes on Hulu.
