Bryn Mawr-based Main Line Health has been making major strides in its mission to offer the best care possible, and its patients are reaping the benefits, writes Gina Lizzo for the Main Line Today.

The healthcare system named Rosangely Cruz-Rojas as vice president and chief diversity and equity officer in August. Cruz-Rojas is the first person to hold this role.

Main Line Health also completed the Pavilion at Riddle Hospital this summer. The five-story, 230,000-square-foot space now offers state-of-the-art care to patients. The pavilion is part of a campus modernization project with a price tag of $327 million. It has 76 new patient rooms along with ten modern surgical suites, two of which boast robotic systems for minimally invasive surgery. New maternity suites and a neonatal intensive care unit are also included.

Meanwhile, stroke care at Paoli Hospital also improved thanks to a new neurointervention lab providing advanced diagnostics and treatment.

In 2022, Main Line Health opened a larger inpatient psychiatric unit at Bryn Mawr Hospital. This aims to address the behavioral health crisis in the region.
