The Hill School invites members of the Pottstown community to two special holiday events being held on campus in the Center for The Arts main theatre (760 Beech St., Pottstown). Both events are free and open to the public.

On Friday, December 8 at 7:15 p.m. Hill School musicians will take the stage to perform their annual Winter Holiday Instrumental Concert.

The Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble, led by Director of Instrumental Music and Senior Master Teacher of the Arts Margie Neiswender P’22 ’23, will entertain the audience with a variety of holiday favorites including “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” “A Star of Wonder,” and “Jingle Bell Rock.”

On Sunday, December 10, at 7:15 p.m., The Hill will host its annual Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols.

This beautiful holiday service includes scripture readings and songs and hymns performed by The Hill’s student choral groups, Chamber Choir, Chorus, and a cappella groups the Hilltones and Hilltrebles, as well as the Community Choir, comprised of students, employees, alumni, parents, and siblings.

An organ prelude to the service will take place from 6:45 – 7:15 p.m.

Special thanks to The Rev. Khristi Adams, Dean of Spiritual Life and Equity & Firestone Endowment Chaplain; The Rev. Anne Confer Martens ’02, Warner Associate Chaplain; Yoon Soo Lim P’17 ’18, Oaklawn Tuttle Director of Vocal Music; and Bill Conrad, school organist, for their work in organizing this special evening.
