Lower Merion Family Grew Mustaches to Raise Money for Movember Foundation
Three members of the Fink family from Lower Merion spent last month growing mustaches and raising money for prostate cancer research with the Movember Foundation, according to a staff report from the Main Line Times & Suburban.
The Movember Foundation is a global men’s health movement that challenges men to grow mustaches during November to spark conversations and to help raise both funds and awareness for mental health, suicide, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.
The father and two sons, Gary, Zach, and Victor Fink, decided to fundraise for prostate cancer research.
Gary, a Lower Merion High School graduate and wrestling star, has battled prostate cancer, as did his father and uncle. His grandfather died from it.
He decided to team up with his two sons, Zach, a Harriton High School graduate and captain of the lacrosse team, and Victor, also a Harriton High School graduate and captain of the wrestling and lacrosse teams, to make a difference.
The trio managed to raise $14,000 for the worthy cause.
