Manor College President Named to Philadelphia Business Journal’s Most Admired CEOs

Jonathan Peri has been a leader in higher education for almost 20 years.

Jonathan Peri, president of Manor College, was recently named as one of Philadelphia Business Journal’s Most Admired CEOs for 2023, writes Lisa Dukart for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Jonathan Peri has been a leader in higher education for almost 20 years. Before that, he was a lawyer and spent time as a special prosecutor and assistant district attorney for the Delaware County District Attorney’s office.

After serving as vice president and general counsel of Neumann University, he was appointed president of Manor College in Jenkintown in 2015.

During his tenure, Manor, a private Catholic institution, has expanded from offering associate degree programs to offering bachelor’s degree programs.

Peri led a rebranding of the school and has been instrumental in improving the college’s financial forecast while at the same time ensuring the school remained affordable to students.

On his business philosophy, he said, “There’s more than one bottom line. It’s essential that we care about our students and each other.”

On how he builds trust with his team, he said, “I share credit and give accolades. Leaders don’t do things by themselves. Our teams work hard and deserve recognition.
