After a six-year hiatus, Harleysville’s Mainland Inn is making a triumphant return with the opening of the restaurant The Mallard.

The new restaurant will breathe new life into one of the area’s historic stone façade inns.

Chef Manuel Jiménez, Cindy, and their daughter and her husband are embarking on this new adventure after an overwhelming response to their restaurant La Provence in Ambler.

Chef Manuel and Cindy Jiménez have previous restaurant ownership experience in Spain and Puerto Rico. Chef Manuel furthered his culinary education by studying abroad at the renowned Hôtel Montpelier in Switzerland, a hub for haute cuisine and culinary knowledge.

The menu at The Mallard at Mainland Inn will be inspired by extraordinary delicacies from around the world and will feature culinary delights such as Dry-Aged Duck Breast, Roasted Rack of Lamb, and Quarry Hill Beef Tenderloin

Situated at 17 Mainland Rd, Harleysville, The Mallard offers an elegant and layered dining experience, with its glamorous main dining rooms, intimate group dinners at the Chef’s Table, cocktails on the patio, and its subterranean speakeasy, La Bodega.

“The Mallard seeks to be a destination for suburban-curious Philadelphians, while also serving as the all-day headquarters for nearby locals seeking a variety of dishes and cooking styles in a dynamic dining experience. We want guests to come back time and time again,” said Cindy Jimenez, CEO of Mallard & La Provence.

Executive Chef Greg Vassos brings his extensive international experience and a firm dedication to farm-to-table cuisine to The Mallard at Mainland Inn.

With 25 years of international experience and a firm dedication to farm-to-table cuisine, Chef Greg co-founded the Brick Farm Tavern, a 400-acre farm and pasture-to-table property in New Jersey, earning top reviews and Three Bells from Craig Laban

The original Pennsylvania Dutch Colonial architecture, emerald leather-clad banquettes, opulent fabrics and wallpapers, and elegant brass accents of the inn combined with some added contemporary touches create an inviting atmosphere for all guests.
