Four Montgomery County places ranked among the ten wealthiest ZIP codes in the Philadelphia region with the highest number of residents with postgraduate degrees, writes Todd Romero for the Philadelphia Business Journal. 

Higher education levels have been found to correspond with a higher income level nationally and in Greater Philadelphia, where the wealthiest ZIP codes all have high numbers of residents with postgraduate degrees. 

ZIP Code 19066 (Merion Station) took the top spot with 58 percent of advanced degree holders. The ZIP Code is the third wealthiest in the region with a median household income of $208,229. 

Next on the list is ZIP Code 19035 (Gladwyne) in second place with 52 percent of residents with postgraduate degrees. The ZIP Code is tied for the wealthiest in the region with Villanova. Both places have a median household income of $250,001. 

ZIP Code 19096 (Wynnewood) follows in fourth place with 51 percent of advanced degree holders. The list is rounded out by ZIP Code 19072 (Narberth) with 50 percent of residents who have postgraduate degrees.
