Wayne Kimmel, a managing partner of SeventySix Capital in King of Prussia, thinks being able to wear your ticket to a Phillies game would be really awesome, writes Michael Bradley for Main Line Today.

Kimmel specializes in scouting for and investing in products that will enhance the sports fan’s experience.

Last winter, he took a whirlwind tour of some of the biggest sports events to scout new ideas and to network.

During the three-week trip, he went to NFL Pro Bowl festivities in Las Vegas, the NASCAR Clash at the Coliseum in Los Angeles, the Super Bowl, and the PGA’s Phoenix Open in Arizona. He also attended the NBA All-Star Game and the league’s Tech Summit in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As co-founder of SeventySix Capital, he is always looking to invest in entrepreneurs who have creative ideas for using technology to enhance the sports fan’s experience when they are betting on or attending a game.

“We find companies and smart entrepreneurs with really game-changing ideas. When we have a match with them, we get involved.”

One of the company’s SeventySix has partnered with is Odds On Compliance, a Florida-based company that provides compliance technology and other services to sports betting and other regulated industries.

Another one is collectID, which makes wearable technology for game tickets and concession card.
