Manatawny Still Works is known most for its high-quality, small batch American Whiskey, but it also produces vodkas, gins, rums, and brandies.

When Nick Valada of The Philadelphia Inquirer curated a list of the best distilleries in and near Philadelphia, Pottstown’s Manatawny Still Works of course made the list.

The distillery is known most for its high-quality, small-batch American Whiskey, but it also produces vodkas, gins, rums, and brandies.

Manatawny Still Works was founded in 2013 and is situated near the banks of the Manatawny Creek which cuts through Montgomery County and joins the Schuylkill River in Pottstown.

The distillery also has tasting rooms in Philadelphia’s East Passyunk, Fishtown neighborhoods, as well as Ardmore here in Montgomery County, and sells its liquor online and at local bars and restaurants, farmer’s markets, and various events in the region.

Its most popular products include a gin finished in port barrels, a variety of four-grain American whiskey, and a wheat-based vodka.

“We honor distilling heritage by combining premium ingredients, innovative distillation processes, and thoughtful barrel aging and finishing to build our own house of craft spirits,” the distillery said on its website.
